How we approach it
Read the site first
Aspect, fall, canopy cover and privacy lines decide where an outdoor bathroom belongs long before the drawings do. We spend the first visit walking the block with you.
Build for weather
Wet leaf litter, long damp winters and hard summer light. Detailing is drainage-first: ventilated substructures, stainless fixings, drained screens and timber chosen to move gracefully.
Finish like furniture
Every screen, bench, niche and duckboard is set out by hand. Junctions line through, edges are eased, and the whole thing is oiled so it ages into the forest instead of fighting it.

Good to know
- Do outdoor bathrooms work in the Dandenong Ranges climate?
- Yes, when they are detailed for it. We build ventilated, well-drained structures using timbers suited to persistent damp, and we position the space so it dries between uses.
- Do I need a plumber and permits?
- Hot and cold water and waste connections must be done by a licensed plumber, which we coordinate. Permit requirements depend on the structure, its size and your overlays; we tell you what applies before work starts.
- How long does one take to build?
- Most outdoor bathrooms sit between two and five weeks on site, depending on structure, services and finishes. Your written scope carries the program.
- What maintenance do they need?
- An annual clean and re-oil for exposed timber, and clearing leaf litter from drains after autumn. We leave a written schedule at handover.
